George Wuerthner is an author, photographer, and ecologist who has published 34 books including his most recent, Thrillcraft: The Environmental Impact of Motorized Recreation. He earned undergraduate degrees in botany and wildlife biology/zoology from The University of Montana and completed graduate work at Montana State University, the University of California Santa Cruz and the University of Oregon. Along with being a registered guide in Yellowstone National Park, he has written three books about Yellowstone National Park.
