Allison Leach is a commercial photographer who lives and works in New York. Her work is a dichotomous collection of celebrities and fictional characters, modern color and antiquated sepia tones. She has been a contributing photographer to People magazine for over seven years. Her photographs have been published in Vanity Fair, Esquire, Elle, Newsweek, Time, Fortune, Business Week, Men’s Health, Entertainment Weekly, The New York Sunday Times Magazine and others. A list of Allison’s commercial clients includes Ogilvy and Mather, McCann Erickson, Spot Design, MTV Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. Her work has been shown in New York and London. Allison is a multifaceted photographer whose sense of humor and technical proficiency shine through in her work. She is equally comfortable photographing celebrities for commercial assignments as she is shooting portraits of “Misfit Explorers,” a personal project she has been working on since 1999. She recently launched a concept brand for the web called MisfitIndustries.com, which promotes character based merchandise celebrating an anti-celebrity world.
