Heath Korvola works on location photographing modern, active lifestyles and people. That means you may find him face down in a lake or dodging traffic in a city—it’s never the same twice. His clients include magazines, companies, brands and agencies such as the U.S. Postal Service, Columbia Sportswear, LIFE magazine, Men’s Journal and a few others. His take on life is buoyed by influences in technology, independent music and film, old cameras, creative personalities and good magazines (i.e., those that are image heavy). He speaks Japanese, eats just about anything and tends to like his runs (and weekends) long. From a stable childhood in Portland, Oregon to a transient life in Japan and Asia, his vision and work have grown. Today, his office is based in one of the last remaining ski towns in the Rockies—Whitefish, Montana—where he lives with his wife and son. For more information visit www.heathkorvola.com.
