Hotel and Meeting Space

Your workshop will be held at the Best Western Friday Harbor Suites in Friday Harbor, Washington. Your class will meet daily in the San Juan meeting room. This workshop begins Saturday at 7 p.m. and ends Friday at noon. We suggest that you stay at this location for the dates of August 24-29, departing on August 30. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly. Be sure to indicate that you are a student Rocky Mountain School of Photography.

Rates: Suites have been blocked at the group rate of $229.99 per night + tax (one bedroom queen suite with kitchenette). Room choices are on a first-come, first-served basis. Rate includes full breakfast daily.

Cutoff date: Be sure to make your reservations by July 25, 2013. After this date reservations will be based on availability.

Cancellation Policy: Please check with the hotel regarding their cancellation policy.

Parking

There is free parking available at the hotel. 

Air Transportation

RMSP is not responsible for cancellations due to medical or other emergencies or reimbursement of non-refundable airline tickets/hotel rooms in the event of a course cancellation. Please consider the purchase of trip/travel insurance.

The nearest major airport to this workshop is Bellingham International Airport, located approximately 65 miles from the hotel. Visit the airport website for carriers and flight schedules.

Travel During the Workshop

You are responsible for your own transportation during the workshop. For transportation to and from field shoots, we suggest that you carpool to get to know fellow students. Your final email will include a car share list of interested participants.

Car Rental

Major car rental companies are located at Bellingham International Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.  Contact information and links can be found on the airport websites.  If you choose not to rent a car the Best Western Friday Harbor Suites provides a shuttle from the ferry between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Meals During the Workshop

You are responsible for your own meals during the workshop. Your instructor will allow plenty of breaks in the schedule.

Fees

Any additional fees and/or supplies, including entrance to shooting locations, will be the responsibility of the participant.
