Where We Go: Adobe® Lightroom® has emerged as the image management software of choice for amateur and professional photographers alike. No other tool on the market can increase your post-production efficiency like Lightroom. During the week in Missoula, Montana, David Marx introduces you to the various functions the software offers and shows you how to make it work for you.
What You Learn: Take note of your current post-production process and prepare to wave it goodbye. David’s experience and ability to convey concepts in a way that is easy to understand translates into you getting more out of the week than you can imagine. Over the course of six days, he introduces you to Lightroom’s library, develop, slideshow, print and Web modules and explains how each can be used. You learn how to import, rate, label, keyword and apply metadata to your files. He teaches you to make global—and even some local—enhancements to your images including spot removal, red-eye reduction and converting an image to black and white. David walks you through the steps for preparing your images for output, whether it is to a PDF slideshow, gallery print or for the Web.
Who Should Attend: Previous Lightroom experience is not required, however a working knowledge of computers is necessary for you to get the most from this workshop.
ON THE ROAD: In 2010 we will be taking our Lightroom for Photographers workshop “On the Road” to Minneapolis, Minnesota and Austin, Texas. The curriculum for these workshops is the same as in our Missoula-based workshop.
This workshop begins Sunday at 9 a.m. and ends Friday at 5 p.m.
