Course: Charleston, South Carolina: The Charm of the South

My passion for travel has taken my camera and I to all seven continents, but Charleston, South Carolina will always be one of my favorite places. When I saw RMSP had a course there I knew it was time to return. Having spent time in Missoula taking an Advanced Photography class with Tim Cooper I already knew RMSP had talented instructors who guided and inspired you to produce your best work.

I really loved the RMSP team of Tony Rizzuto and Elizabeth Stone. Our time in Charleston was not only a wonderful learning experience, but also a really great vacation. They established a relaxed tone that encouraged participants to take risks in their photography. Tony and Elizabeth introduced me to new ways of looking at a city that I had visited many times. Through their help I became very comfortable using the Zone System and began to get consistently good photographs. I learned to stay with my subject and look at it from different angles and exposures. During critiques I discovered my joy in telling stories through photography. Tony and Elizabeth always made sure their instruction was personalized for every person in our class. The final slideshow was a testament to their great teaching.

As I continue on my photographic journey I look forward to taking more classes with RMSP. I know that I can be confident in the quality of instruction and the risk free atmosphere that all of their instructors bring to the learning process.
